All the important details for your trip can be found on the PDF ticket that is available for download after you have completed the booking process. You will also receive a copy by e-mail. Your travel details are also available in your customer account under “Retrieve my booking”.

How much luggage can I bring with me free of charge?2019-08-07T15:16:34+00:00

You are permitted 1 carry-on bag (backpack or handbag, not a suitcase) and 2 pieces of luggage free of charge.

Are the buses wheelchair accessible?2019-08-07T15:15:50+00:00

Yes, the lower level of all of our buses is accessible without stairs. The restroom is also located on the lower level.

What are the payment options for buying a ticket and are there any fees?2019-08-07T15:12:59+00:00

You can pay online via Paypal, direct debit or credit card. Or you can buy a ticket from the driver in cash or by direct debit/credit card. There are no processing fees for payments made using these payment methods.

How do I cancel or change my booking?2019-08-07T15:12:00+00:00

You can change your booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled departure time. Simply log in to your customer account and click on “My booking” –> “Retrieve my booking” –> “Change booking”. It is not possible to cancel your booking.

What are the weight restrictions and permitted sizes for luggage?2019-08-07T15:16:40+00:00

Carry-on bags: Your carry-on item can have a maximum weight of 7 kg. Please be aware that the overhead bin on the bus cannot hold more than a small backpack or a purse. It is not large enough for a suitcase. Large carry-on items such as trekking backpacks have to be stowed in the luggage compartment.

Luggage: The total dimensions of each piece of luggage may not exceed 160 cm (width + height + depth). Each piece of luggage may weigh no more than 20 kg.

Special luggage: Sports equipment, instruments, etc., are considered standard pieces of luggage as long as they remain within the above-mentioned dimensions.

All of the buses in our fleet are the same model bus and feature state-of-the-art engines and amenities to ensure your comfort. All of the buses have free Wi-Fi, power outlets, reading lights, an on-board restroom, air conditioning and extra legroom. You can find more information about our fleet of buses here.

Can I take my wheelchair or walker?2019-08-07T15:15:57+00:00

Yes, all of our buses are outfitted for passengers with reduced mobility and have two wheelchair seats. Simply choose one of the seats designated for wheelchair users when booking your ticket. We will confirm the wheelchair seat by e-mail to ensure compliance with all legal transport requirements. The wheelchair or walker can also be stowed in the luggage compartment.

Can I buy my ticket from the driver?2019-08-07T15:13:27+00:00

Yes, anyone who spontaneously decides to buy a ticket on the bus, can do so from the driver in cash or by direct debit/credit card. The driver will assign you a seat. The advantage of booking online is that you can choose your own seat.

Yes, you can choose a different seat simply by changing your booking online. To do so, log in to your customer account and click on “My booking” –> “Retrieve my booking” –> “Change booking” and simply book the same bus with a different seat.

Which standards do wheelchairs have to meet?2019-08-07T15:16:05+00:00

In order to be able to transport the wheelchair in the passenger area (i.e. not in the luggage compartment), the wheelchair must meet the German EN 12183 or EN 12184 standards. The width may not exceed 70 cm and the length 120 cm. The total maximum weight is 300 kg.

No, the ticket will just expire. You can change your booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled departure time.

How far in advance do I need to book a trip or change my booking?2019-08-07T15:11:54+00:00

You can book tickets online up to 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time. A booking can be changed online via your customer account up to 48 hours prior to departure.

Are there cigarette breaks or other stops?2019-08-07T15:15:28+00:00

As the drivers are required to observe the legally mandated driving times and rest periods, a short break will be taken at a rest stop on long bus routes. However, there will be no additional stops to pick up new passengers.

If you would like to book a wheelchair seat, simply reserve one of the designated seats when booking your ticket. We will confirm the wheelchair seat by e-mail to ensure compliance with all legal transport requirements. Should you be traveling with an accompanying person, please let us know via our contact form so that we can book a free trip for this person.

What happens if I lose my booking confirmation?2019-08-12T14:02:25+00:00

After you have completed the booking process, you will receive a booking confirmation via e-mail (PDF attachment). You don’t have to print it out, just show it to the driver on your smartphone or tablet. You can also retrieve your ticket on the Pinkbus website using your booking code and e-mail address. This is possible even you haven’t set up a customer account.

If you have set up a customer account, then you have unrestricted access to your PDF ticket in your personal customer area and can add it to your Apple Wallet.

Should you have lost the confirmation e-mail and the booking code or be unable to log in to your account for some other reason, please contact us via our contact form.

Unfortunately that is not possible at this time.

What safety precautions have been taken on the bus?2019-08-12T14:14:59+00:00

Seat belts are required on the bus. All vehicles have been inspected by the Technical Inspection Agency (TÜV) and undergo regular service. The drivers have completed special training in passenger transport and receive regular further training. They are required to observe the legally mandated driving times and rest periods. The vehicles have been outfitted with the latest safety systems. You can find more information about our fleet of buses here.

If you are accompanied by a guide dog, please notify us in advance via our contact form. We will reserve a seat next to you for the dog. The dog will of course travel free of charge.

You can book Pinkbus tickets up to three months in advance.

We are delighted that you would like to travel with a larger group of people. You can book a trip for up to 9 people via our regular booking process. Please use our contact form if more want to come along. We will reserve as many seats as you need.

We are sorry, but animals may not be transported on the bus. The only exceptions are guide dogs and service animals.

Sure, just enter the name of the passenger during the booking process.

Fill out the form on our lost and found page to give us a description of the item you have lost. We will notify you as soon as we find it. Even if we do not find the item, we will contact you within 14 days.

Traveling with a child – what do I need to be aware of?2019-08-12T14:05:18+00:00

As the costs for transport and seat have to be covered by our unchanging low standard price per trip, children pay the same fare as adults.

For children ages 0 to 3, you must bring a car seat that can be secured with a three-point seat belt. The following seats on the Pinkbus are outfitted with a three-point seat belt:

Lower level: 19A, 19B
Upper level: 1A, 1B, 1D, 1E, 12D, 12E, 16C

Please reserve one of these seats for your child.

Children up to 8 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Children between 8 and 15 years may travel unaccompanied with a declaration of consent from a parent or legal guardian. You can find a declaration of consent form on our page traveling with a child.
